How To Download A Video From A News Media Site?

A relative passed away, and i want to get the video for it. It's on a news site. It has an embed code and url, but the url does not work on any online converters. It seems it needs to be from youtube to work. However I do not know how to take a video from a news site and place it on youtube for this purpose. Can anyone help me?
