Parking in London

Try parking in London and this is what you get! It's against the law to load and unload according to this traffic warden (Civil Enforcement Officer or CEO). The London Local Authorities Act 2000, Part II Parking, Section 6 (4), d allows parking for a maximum of 20 minutes for loading and unloading to take place. So the law says I can load/unload ANYWHERE for 20 minutes, unless signs are up which specifically state that no loading or unloading can take place there. I think they either don't train the wardens so they can give out more tickets, knowing that the huge majority of drivers will just pay the damned ticket rather than bother to challenge it, OR they rely on the fact that the majority of people don't know about this law. Over the last 2 years I have now fought, and won, 181 tickets and am awaiting the outcome for 6 recent ones.
