When Did Tv News Start Putting The Spinners/liars On The Air?

It used to be they had experts do in-depth analysis of news stories. Now they have some spin doctor from the right and one from the left get on and tell half-truths or outright lies. One says black is white and the other says white is black. All it does is confuse and divide.
