Throw Us a Rope - Plush / (jam version of) Sunshine of Your Love

That rockin' law firm of Ropes & Gray now has its own rock 'n roll band - Throw Us a Rope. On Wednesday, July 22, 2009, the TUAR Tour kicked off with its first performance in an R&G conference room in the News Corp. building in Rockefeller Center, New York. Would you have expected anything different from a big NY law firm? We had a blast, and we think the crowd did, too. Here's our last song, Plush (Stone Temple Pilots), which was followed by an impromptu jam version of Sunshine of Your Love (Cream). The roles of the bandmembers changed as the evening progressed (look for the other two posts for the rest of the show), and the lineup for these last two songs was: John mcclain (guitar), Dorian Needham (vocals), Nick Niles (bass - Plush), Drew Oringer (promoter/co-videographer), Ryan Oringer (bass - Sunshine), 12-year old Tyler Oringer (drums), and Bonnie Oringer (co-videographer). Cool - hope you like it! (Thanks to Coke Cherney, Lexie Donahue, and Ken Filar (and Bake r Lee at SIR for the equipment) for helping to make it all possible.)
