Westinghouse Elevators at RCGC

This is by far the best example of Art Deco architecture in the Twin Cities. Its an absolutely gorgeus building and anyone that visits Minnesota needs to stop by here and check it out. This is one of 6 Westinghouse traction elevators at the Ramsey County Government Center (City Hall and Courthouses) in St Paul, MN. 4 elevators go from B-17, 2 go from B-18. At the top of the building is a public law library with a fantastic view of the city. These have Dover style buttons but they are Westinghouse elevators, mostly intact since the 1940's. They all have incredibly nice carved wood interiors and they remind me of the elevators at the Chrysler Building in NYC. They were extremely busy so I couldn't get good footage but will retake eventually.
